The existing EXIT team has moved to Breightmet House in Bolton to join our colleagues from Greater Manchester Police in helping to safeguard Bolton’s Children from Sexual Exploitation.
The EXIT team under the Greater Manchester Safeguarding Partnership Project Phoenix will offer a Multi-Agency Co- located approach to dealing with the problems of Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) in the Bolton Area.
The newly formed team will allow for increased prosecutions of perpetrators, enforcement, investigation and disruption of CSE related activity, more effective intelligence gathering from a shared knowledge base.
Alongside this, the EXIT team will continue to co-work cases requiring Children’s Services involvement where there is risk of or involvement in CSE.
EXIT Support workers will also continue to offer direct interventions to young people to build resilience recognise risk and support disclosure of CSE.
The process of referral to the team remains the same via CAF or Social Work Assessment and using the CSE RISK INDICATOR TOOL.
The new team will consist of
1 Detective Sergeant
3 Detective Constables
1 Police Officer
1 Children’s Services Manager
